Subject: [CR] Nuovo Record Rear Derailleur

OK I realize it is going to be a real challenge for me to explain my problem, probably as much as it will be for me to understand your solution, but here goes: I have stripped my Guerciotti frame of all parts for cleaning, and regreasing. To clean the rear derailleur I thought I would take the big bolt out which holds the pulley cage in place making it easier for me to clean. Little did I realize (before it was too late) it was spring loaded. I did not pay enough attention to how it came apart, so now I don't know how it goes back together. It seems pretty simple, spring can only be in the tube one way, the tube has two holes for the end of the spring and one hole for the bolt. The pulley cage has 2 holes for the spring end and one for the bolt but I can't seem to get it right (nor do I think I am going to know when it is right!) I have been looking at some close up pics of them on ebay and it seems the pin attached to the tube sits at rest the opposite way that it wants to go together. Can anyone lead me to some diagrams, give me a good explanation, or should I head to the local bike shop and hope someone there will know what they are dealing with?
Thanks in advance
