A few weeks ago there was an exchange of beliefs regarding pantographed parts and their legitimacy. I espoused my view that if you have a bike and it does not have pantographed parts on it when you buy it, there are no pantographed parts available anywhere that you could install to make the bike more true to its origin. I say this because all pantograph work was done in small batches with considerable variations, so it is impossible to say what batch or variant might have originally been installed on any bike at any time. So installing pantographed parts on your bike is more akin to subsequently "hot-rodding" your bike.
If you are interested in "hot-rodding" your bike, I have just received a load of NOS stems from an Italian friend. This fellow has over 30 years of experience in pantographing and engraving on a commercial scale and was supplier to many of the biggest boutique builders "back in the day".

All the stems are NOS Cinelli. All of the 1A and XA model stems are 26.4 mm bar clamp according to the boxes that the stems came in. The XE model stems were not in boxes and I believe them to be 26.0 mm bar clamp even if Cinelli sold them to me as being 26.4 mm.
When I have offered these pantographed stems in the past on ebay, they have averaged about $120 plus shipping each. I am offering them to the US-based CR list members for $100 if you pay with cash, check or money order (or $105 if you insist on paying with paypal). For foreign members, add an additional $8 for flat rate priority airmail.
