Hi all: Found the frame protector packs. I have four available. These are in the original plastic bags, contain 6 pieces. chainstay protector, pads for pump and frame, There are 3 Stay-Tuff and one Specialized kit. The Stay-Tuff kits include an alcohol cleaning pad, but I suspect it's dry after all these years. Believe it or not-- All say Made in USA!! I should double the price! But for the CR List, only $6 postage paid CONUS or actual mail cost outside. First come first serve. As to the running of the fingertip/barend housing, we asked the riders if they had a choice on location. If not, we usually put the touring rider's cables out by the lever so that the bar bags wouldn't impede the flow. One could put the cables behind the bag, but with the brake cables it often got tite and bindy. The racing and sport guys usually liked them coming out on top close to the stem where the tape ended. That kept the cable flop away and not a problem under racing conditions. It also seemed to shift much better, as the tite wrapping of the tape would hold the housing firmer so that the compression wasn't as noticeable than when the cable had more exposure and looseness.
