Subject: [CR] Cinelli Rehab- thanks Dale, et al!

Thanks to all who replied. I guess it is the big C after all. I'm not yet sure what I'll do with it. It is a little too big for me and I don't need another project right now, but hell: its a Cinelli and I've wanted one for years! Dale, thanks for the offer. I'd be happy to buy the bridge parts from you. Regardless of whether I do it up or not, it'll need a bridge. As far as the holes in the tubes I mentioned, the dingbat put his drill in the holes in the bottom bracket lugs & bored through the down & seat tubes. It would be like drilling through the three holes in a head lug, right through the top of the top tube. They won't be difficult to deal with. The bottom bracket will be interesting. It ought to be repaired for structural as well as cosmetic reasons. I think the hardest thing will be finishing it off without damaging the serial number.

I'm going to think about this for a while. Thanks again for all your help & interest.

I don't understand this..? Sounds bad but I don't seec the evidence of anything that bad in the pics.

The big cut out BB shell is the worst damage... But that may be OK and maybe better to just ignore it & leave it as-is.

I would replace the chain stay bridge, fill in those holes under the chain stays (brass or silver) clean it up, paint it silver and add correct decals... Might even find a replacement head badge but that may be asking too much. And Viola! a resuscitated Cinelli!

You are handy, maybe you can do must of this your self. I have the chain stay bridge parts if you need/want them...
