Subject: [CR] VAR Tool '# 368' What is it?

I just purchased a Var tool and as you guessed it, the number is 368.  Now when I spotted its threading pattern I thought it was for a freewheel or something for one of the BB cups.  One one side of the split device is 'VAR 368' and the other is 'Made in France'.   The flip side has the number 668 stamped on each side.   However when I received the tool the darned thing is so large that neither a threaded hub for a freewheel or any bottom bracket cup is any candidate at all.  Is this from some other mechanical or tool line of the Var company.   I did try to go on the net and find information, but to no avail.    BT
