Subject: Re: [CR] Interesting Ebay bidding

Several times in the past, I have won an auction for a ridiculously low amount of money. Whenever I sense that this has happened, I always communicate with the seller and offer to cancel out of the deal, in case they wantsto relist the item (sometimes I even suggest ways to market the item better.) Nobody has ever accepted my offer, but I think they always feel better (and I don't feel guilty) as a result.

There have also been times when the buyer has remorse. The EBay bidding process sometimes puts inordinate pressure on people, especially if they are not experienced enough to use a bidding agent to get the emotion out of their bids.

I always let them out of the deal in these cases, too. The goal of a good purchase transaction is for everyone to be happy with the results.
