Spare tire under seat?
SO WHAT?
How the hell else you gonna get home if you're out on the road?
6" crescent in your hip pocket, gas stations were all over, unless you took
pump along, and we did.
Track bikes, fixed gear, no brakes, spare tire(s) under seat, or around
shoulders and off we went for 50/60 mile rides, or more, or less.
That bike has been ridden, look at the tape, nice patina.
Usually you would take the spare off if you rode over to track and rode
around, but not everyone did for training.
Racing, it was strip down for action.
If you had enuf long green you had set racing wheels, other guys raced on
track with what they rode on the road.
That's the way it was, and we LIKED it!
