One more negative or attacking message and someone gets the boot. No kidding...
I just read the past days messages and have reached my limit. Once again this topic makes some of you crazy and imprudent in your choice of words.
As the old timers on this list know, I will not tolerate incivility here.
For the record, I count as friends and celebrate their involvement, the many youthful and exuberant riders who are fixed gear fans. It is great that this group is learning about old bikes and appreciating them. True, a few are a bit goofy and stylishly flamboyant, but they are included in my sphere of interests and I am darned glad to have them here.
FYI, I remember getting back into lightweights in the early 1970s and even back then, brave, brazen and somewhat crazy guys out of Harlem were riding fixed gear bikes in NYC traffic. It's true that it has approached a fad level now, but it has deep roots.
So, let's get back to the brotherhood/sisterhood part of this hobby and quit starting fights. OK????
