Holy smokes, enough already. And to think this all started with a comment about fixed gear riding. If you guys want to smear each other, do it to each other off list, eh? Or better yet, get to your local boxing ring and work it out. Let's get back to on topic discussions.

sheesh

Attorney:? From the old French, 'torner', to twist or turn.? Now that in a word describes attorney's on or off Cinelli's.? In the words of the immortal bard, William Shakespear, "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers"?? Now he said that, not me, and millions would agree.

The "transition" is made quite readily, if one understands the issues at hand. In fact the issues involve the very public history of "On Topic" cyclists about which you seem to be ignorant.? Let me inform you. Andranian, an attorney, maintains a website (GitaneUSA) on which, for reasons known best to himself,? he devotes space to a crime of sexual abuse committed by the famous American cyclist, Jock Boyer (the first American to ride the TdF, 1981). On that same website, he carefully avoids mentioning a very similar, if not worse, crime committed by the French cyclist Anquetil, using the excuse that Anquetil wasn't jailed for his crime. That crime is documented in a well known book and movie. Now, Andranian would like to present himself on CR as an evenhanded lawyer sensitive to the law, making out arguments about defending the lack of use of brakes on fixed gear bikes by members of the "Fixie Nation", etc. I think it is important that the public know that, when it comes to presenting facts,? Andranian is not as evenhanded as he would like to appear. It's that simple. George George Hollenberg MD
