Jerry and all,

Love the old chrome Paramounts. I have a '71 and it's interesting to note similarities and differences between your bike. Mine also has the same 531 sticker on the seat tube. It had the small campy one as well, but a misplaced pump took care of that. Interesting differences to me are the fact that yours has clip-on brake cable guides whereas my earlier 71 has braze-ons on the bottom of the top tube. I would have thought that the braze-ons would have appeared later...or were clamp-ons on the racing model and braze-ons on the touring? Also, it appears the red lug lining disappeared after 71...anyone confirm? Anyway beautiful bike.

Here's a few pics of mine. It's been altered so purists be warned...currently sports modern brake levers, nitto bars and stems, and I had the Campy crank changed to a much lower geared TA half-step/granny triple. It's a rider though so I don't feel too bad; fenders coming before rainy seasons hits...wait, that's today!
