Thanks to everyone who responded with my request regarding 'Schwinn approved'
I'm now clued in with a bit of US bike history.......and also reminded that my cherished 'Scheeren Record' sprint rims were part of the Weinmann group [thanks Ted]
Should anyone be wondering why I said 'cherished'........it's because being a sentimental old git I cherish these rims because they were the first to go under the hour for 25miles [57.37 on 84" fixed, 1973].....and won me my national hill climb team title a couple of years later.
Wonder if anyone else has stuff which holds some significant meaning to them.........or is it just me being over sentimental?
