I'd love to see pics. What I have here is double-drilled Large Flange Campy hub WITHOUT "Record" on the hub. I'll try to post some pics as well.

\r?\n> Hi Jerry,
\r?\n> Point one, is that although the "new" hubs
\r?\n> with RECORD on the barrels began
\r?\n> to be in production in 62-63, there were still a fair
\r?\n> amount of "No-Record"
\r?\n> hubshells hanging around, waiting to be built with
\r?\n> hardware, and put into
\r?\n> wheels. I have seen many of these hubs with locknuts
\r?\n> dated for 1965, which
\r?\n> is not an exact science, but indicates that they were
\r?\n> assembled to sale or use
\r?\n> in 1965 or thereafter.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Point two, is that the 1970s double drilled Paramount
\r?\n> hubs have RECORD on
\r?\n> the barrels ... in fact, these are the only type of the
\r?\n> Paramount hub I've
\r?\n> seen. Have a set here, if you would like to see
\r?\n> pics.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> The story I heard here is that Schwinn drilled out the
\r?\n> existing spoke holes
\r?\n> to help the spoke heads sit more flush in the flange, and
\r?\n> that the idea didn't
\r?\n> work out too well, causing them to have to re-drill new
\r?\n> spoke holes, in between
\r?\n> the larger, now "ruined" holes. Use
\r?\n> the small holes.

\r?\n> Paramount Drilling
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Looking through the parts bin I came upon a hub I
\r?\n> didn't know I had. It is a Campy Record Large
\r?\n> Flange, but drilled with an
\r?\n> extra set of holes between the usual ones, i.e there are 72
\r?\n> holes rather than
\r?\n> 36. I've read here these were made for Schwinn
\r?\n> for Paramounts. What,
\r?\n> again, was the purpose of the added drilling? I note
\r?\n> the added holes are a
\r?\n> bit larger than the standard ones. Which set did one
\r?\n> actually lace the
\r?\n> spokes through?
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Another thing I note is that the hub is marked
\r?\n> Campagnolo, but NOT "Record". Chuck's
\r?\n> timeline says the word "Record" was
\r?\n> added in 1963, so this hub would have to be very late
\r?\n> 50's or very early
\r?\n> 60's. Were all the double-drilled Schwinn hubs
\r?\n> from this period, or did
\r?\n> they appear on the later Record-marked hubs as
\r?\n> well?
\r?\n>
