Hi Bill,

I can relate and take it easy. In 1988 December 4 days after Christmas I lost my house, 3 antique cars that I was restoring, 1 of which was a 58 Pontiac that I did a complete frame off 14 year restoration on and was 3 weeks from taking it to the museum. I had my insurance papers mailed in a couple of days before, so sadly, I lost it all. A car in restoration can not be insured, only the complete car. The other 2 were a 61 SS and 62 SS Impala. I lost a 71 Mondia Super that was mint and a 71 black Paramount. My 74 Raleigh International frame was the only survivor because it hanging up in the rafters at work being painted. I had a spine / brain (TBI) injury at work in 2003 from a 14 foot large O/H shop door that was slammed on my head by my employer that has left me over 75% blind and I have not ridden in almost 6 years. It is workers comp and I think they are not going to cover my brain injury, but will cover my spine. All I can say is "Keep your head up,do not give up and press on"! God will prevail. Be strong and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Best Regards Always, John Proch La Grange, Texas

Dale:

And all my CR List friends...

It is with great regret that I inform you, I am out of the hobby. This is not the forum for political rhetoric, but during the previous Democratic administration, I was poor. For 8 years of Republican rule I was flush and could indulge my passion for bicycles. Now, well what can I say? The depression has ruined me. My stocks are flat. I am broke. I have had to sell all my treasured bicycles just to try to make ends meet and keep my cats fed. I understand hungry, they don't. Thank God, my good friend, and frequent list contributor, Ted Ernst bought 3 of my favorites bikes so, maybe, if things get better before I die, I might be able to buy them back.

Selling my treasured bicycles was like selling one's children. I was devastated. I will always love the list, and all the neat guys and gals I got to know via the internet, but reading the posts now just makes me sad. Please unsubscribe me.

Farewell,

Bill Curtis: _inchpitch@aol.com_ (mailto:inchpitch@aol.com) Costa Mesa, CA
