Subject: [CR] Selling especially prized bikes

All

Since the subject has come up, I would advise those needing to sell especially prized bikes to consider selling them to a listmember - with a stipulation that buyer should offer seller a right of first refusal should buyer decide to sell bike to another party. Same price?? I think likely not.

Perhaps not legally enforceable, but certainly honor would require it. Although it is possible (and perhaps likely) the original owner might not be in a position to buy it back, he would know that he would have the option - and it would keep it in the 'family'

I recently repurchased a circa 1970 Cinelli SC that I had sold to another listmember. We agreed to a first refusal arrangement and I was most happy to repurchase bike (not at the same price)
