Note that there are two Lazzaretti brands in Italy. The one on Rome and another one (I thought I had written about it but I can't find the info in the archives...); the latter is a framebuilder and if I recall the son has continued framebuilding.

Dave and list,
That Detto looks like my Lazzaretti, which makes sense as Lazzaretti is a shop in Rome as Detto is a shop in Milan. Mine was built by Biemmizetta (BMZ) and shares those lug windows and that certain Italian bike purposefulness that I love so much. I wonder how widespread store branded frames were in Italy? We have our share from Paolo Alto, CDI, etc.but I'm wondering about bikes from the Motherland...
I know list member Norm Hellman has a beautiful Lazzaretti as well. Maybe nicer than mine.
Mine is a straight Super Record build, a quintessential 70's amateur racer, if you will. There are some differences in the frames, but either way, these are bog standard high quality Italian frames, that's for sure.
