Hi all,
I recently posted for help in dating a Bianchi frame, but I was a bit premature.
Well, I received it today. Bought it on ebay. If the seller is a listmember, this frame is fantastic! The paint is 99/100, and the chrome is the same. One could believe that it had never been ridden. I had originally wanted this to build into a period daily rider, but it is way too nice for that. I will have to rethink how to make the most of it. A static show bike would be a waste.
The frame number is"1.M 7995". It has chromed Campy dropouts, and I notice two small threaded holes in the right rear dropout. Anybody know what they could have been for? The decals are the -Bianchi- type in wine red and gold. I have never seen that color used before. On the top tube, and left chain stay it says"-- TIPO CORSE -- 28 -- T -- also in wine red.
I would appreciate any information on this frame that anybody can provide.
Many thanks.
