Hi Tom,

Are you sure it is truly a Mexico? Is he sure it is a Mexico? Crimped chain stays? I have seen a Colnago 74 Super that has crimped chain stays and the frame and fork, without headset in 54 cm seat tube (c to c) is a tad under 6lbs. I have seen a 54 cm 1978 Mexico where the chain stays are not crimped and in the original paint with most of the Mexico decal blown off one side and all the decal blown off the other side and it weighs a tad under 5lb's, both frame and fork. The first thing I look for are the crimped chain stays. Do the decals weigh one lb? I know with the newer Mexico's the tubing is different and I am not familiar with them.

Good Afternoon. This repainted Colnago frame set showed up on the Bay Area craigslist, and although the year it was made is not in the add, from the details I'm guessing it is On-Topic. The frame doses look nice in the photos, but I have not seen it myself, so can't add any more information than what's in the add. Still, it looks like it would make a nice bicycle.

Have a nice weekend.

Tom Harriman.
