Jerry asked:

will automotive paint or any other Do-It-Yourself touchup option be hard enough to wear well?

You have already discovered the magic of fingernail polish which comes in so pretty unusual colors these days.

For customers that demanded it, I would sometimes supply a small bottle of Imron catalyst along with a bottle of Imron touch up with the warning that the catalyst might kick off on its own after enough time had gone by (and even after having been given a whiff of argon and having been kept in the refrigerator).

When mixed correctly, the touch up would harden normally (but a heat lamp helps!). Ditto for the other catalized paint systems I used from Sikkens, PPG, HOC, etc.

Cheers,
