The funny - and perhaps ironic - thing about these particular terms is that when I ride with my friends on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, all the North Americans call it a Path and the all the British ex-pats call it a Track.
But absolutely no one I know calls it a Trail, except for the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority and these characters: http://www.wodfriends.org
