By the way, I note that for most of the 60's there were two different road racing Paramount models, the P12 and the P13, the latter often called Deluxe Road Racer. Price difference was usually about $50. But it is not clear what the differences were between the two. Does anyone know how specifications differed between these two models?

The P12 was what they later used for the P10 or P15 frame. 27" wheels and eyelets, and cable stops on the top tube. Required a drop bolt to use a Campy brake on the rear even with 27" wheels. The P13 was the first real road racing frame with no eyelets or cable stops, and made for normal reach brakes with 700c tires. There were some differences perhaps in P12 and P10/15 frames: My 1962 P12 has no chrome. It also came with steel Stronglight cottered cranks, steel Titan stem, Gran Sport derailleurs. Just as pictured in the opening page of SLDB. So when they made the P13 they could call it the Deluxe racing Paramount.
