In the end I cracked and bought this bike because it was just so beautiful.  I wasn't prepared to bid a whole lot because of the shipping costs on top of the auction price and I fully expected to be outbid.  My red 1975 PX10 will have to go to compensate.

The vendor pointed out to me another PY10 on French ebay - # 260497614371 - at the high starting price of 600 euros.  I am sure he will be miffed if it is bought at that price because it is not worth twice the one he just sold me.  I am surprised that the dropouts have fender attachment eyes.  This frame is said to be 1977 which looks to be the first year that the team frames did not have chrome plating on the forks and stays.  The equipment is more as expected with Atax/Philippe bars and stem and Maillard hubs.  Overall it looks a very nice bike except for the price.

For all you Peugeot enthusiasts on the List here's fine example for sale.

The seller claims that this immaculate 1976 model was one of a limited edition produced to celebrate Bernard Thevenet's  1975 Tour victory.

The frame is finished in the silver paint of that era and has the older chequerboard decals. A main feature of the bike is the Simplex gold anodised gear set and MAFAC brakes. Chainset is a Stronglight 93, bars are Cinelli and the hubs are Campagnolo L/F . The equipment might have been changed around a little, but I have in my collection a Peugeot Team bike that belonged to Regis Delepine that has Cinelli bars and a Campagnolo L/F Record wheelset

The current price is 300 euros with about five and half days to go.  However the auction is on the French Ebay Collectables site not the main bike auction..and probably will not get as many visits.

The bike is to be found just in the outer southern suburbs of Paris, but the seler will ship world-wide.

Lest I forget, the Item No is:*110448038349. The frame is Reynolds 531 5/10me..pretty light.*

I am tempted but at around 56cms (I think) it's too big for me.
