1968 Schwinn Paramount

I've got a 1968 chrome Schwinn paramount that's a tad bit too small for me.

Here are the specifications:

Serial number: L844 (Nov. 1968)

Seat tube: approx 62 cm (62cm) center to center; approx. 64 cm (64cm) center to top

Top tube: approx. 59cm center to center

Standover height (with 27" wheels): approx. 86cm (approx. 34")

Brooks Pro saddle has cracks, but still quite serviceable

Original Weinmann brakes and levers, with new gum Weinmann hoods

Rear derailleur: Campagnolo Record (not Nuovo Record)

Shifters: Campy bar-end

Crankset: Campagnolo Nuovo Record

Bottom bracket & headset: Campagnolo Nuovo Record

Campagnolo large flange hubs with 27" Mavic MA2 clincher rims

New bar tape and cable casings

Chrome is in great shape. Original decals are worn. Personally I wouldn't replace them. But if you want to , Waterford has them.

It's overall in very good condition -- actually pretty remarkable condition for a 40 year old bike! I believe it to be in mostly original condition except for the items noted above that I replaced (hoods, bar tape, cable casings) and I presume the wheels are not original since I believe the Mavic MA2 rims were not available until the 1970s.

I've got about $1300 into it. But I'm running out of space and need to thin the herd! So I'll take $1100 for it, plus shipping.

Happy to answer any questions.

Best,

David
