Subject: [CR] All this fixation must stop

With the recurring theme of "fixies" I have a question. what are the different solutions for front brakes or brakes in general. In California (USA) bicycles are required to have a brake(s.) for some traqkc bikes there is minimal clearance for tires to rear bridge or to the bottom of fork crowns. When the frame and fork are close clearanced and not drilled for brakes, what solution do the cognescenti have? Some if not many riders of frames and forks unsuited for brakes do not wish to modify their frames by drilling them for brakes. It is a conundrum.

Information and advice is appreciated and thanked for in advance.
