Thanks Mathew, I won a frame from Lithuania and it is a Paletti. The crown is identical to the early 70's Colnago crown and the chrome is nice. My friend owns-runs a large reputable machine shop and could do it probably without too much difficulty. I have been in the antique auto restoration hobby for 35+ years and am excellent at modification. I was hoping to find a real fork. Thanks, regards, John Proch La Grange, Texas (off list)

John=2C Ya might consider getting your hands on a relatively common Cinelli 'MC' se= mi-sloping crown and making the clover shapes yourself (or perhaps with the= aid of a machinist).=A0 I'd bet that making a replica might be less labor = intensive than finding an orphan crown with the club recesses on it.

Sadly=2C we won't make it as far as Milan to look for the remain= s of Emilio Bozzi=2C but we will be in Rome=2C Venice=2C and some of the ci= ties of Emilia-Romagna and Le Marche. I'd love to hit some classic shops an= d Rome seems to be the best bet=2C but I'm certainly open to any possibilit= ies. I'll be keeping a lookout for a fork for my old Frejus while I'm at it= . Suggestions of day rides where rentals might be possible would also be gr= eat.
