The sad news is that Joe Gardin passed away earlier this year:

I suspect that the company no longer exists, although I did find a listing using Google - you could try telephoning to see if they are still there.  You may have to have decals custom-made.   Gardin made bikes for a number of top Canadian riders and those of his bikes I have seen have been of very high quality.  I would rate a Gardin high-end bike as very desirable.

Phillips was a major English manufacturer that went the way of so many -- being absorbed into the Raleigh-TI organization.  I always associated them with roadster style bicycles, but I imagine that they did build more sporting machines at some time in their history

I am sure with a bit of research you would find a mass of information on the web - perhaps try google.co.uk rather than google.ca

Hello list members.

A couple of what I think are good finds today and would appreciate any info on the following.

Gardin frame, curved seat tube, 58cm, made with Excell tubing, Gipemme droputs & brake bridge. Nice lugs. Any info on Gardin, (Canadian) would be helpful and where to get new decals would be appreciated.

Also picked up a "Phillips" , Im guessing pre war date. Phillips hubs (flip-flop), original head badge, lots of braze ons which I'm not sure about.....maybe some of the Uk listers would have info as hubs, head badge say "made in England"
