There is an interesting book from the 80s called "Italian Bicycle Industry" The Buyers Guide. It doesn't make any comparisons year to year. It is full chock full of images from all the famous bike & component makers plus manufacturers of all thing from bikes to Brancale helmets & shoes, Fratelli Barro racks, Mondial headlights, Sergal clothing, Silca pumps, Superlux lights, Columbus tubing, Gusti Decalcomannie that apparently made a lot of the decals, Garelli lugs, Rizzato lugs, Regina freewheels etc. i see the books at amazon used for about $67 but i wouldn't pay that...
