Hi Amir. I seem to recall that some low end Italian city bikes and folders had a right side cup that fit over the bottom bracket shell w/ an integrated right arm and axle. I'm a bit hazy but i may have such an assembly in the basement. I'll check later. An Ashtabula bb shell would be huge. Is either side of your shell threaded? Billy Ketchum; Chicago, IL; USA.

Subject: [CR] gas-pipe Atala bottom bracket problem (Diameter larger than standard)
I forgot to measure the diameter this morning.
The diameter of the Bottom Bracket is larger than the diameter of a standard
bottom bracket cup.
Does anyone know if Atalas ever used one-piece (Ashtabula) cranks?
