Hi Sean, I have a 64 P-14 Paramount. It has sew-up's with the color banded rectangular Weinmann rims, Campy record rear derailleur and NR front with the drop down cable stop for the front derailleur. The shifters are bar end shifters. We have a Campy NR <C> headset, Campy NR brakes early models is the only modification. The chainrings and crank are 151mm. That's about all I can tell you. Oh one more thing, it has a 64 Patent Brooks Pro saddle and it is in that Schwinn deep metallic blue and we refer to it as "electric blue". They call it sky blue and it doesn't look like the sky, unless a storm is near. John Proch, La Grange, Texas

I just picked up a '66 P14 that needs some help. I'm trying to figure out what was stock and what wasn't. What should be and the build and what shouldn't.

It's set up trainer style. The HS is a Nuovo Record road headset, Titan Stem with no name road bars. Weinmann levers with 500 brakes front and rear. FB large flange hubs, mismatched rims. Fiamme tubular in front marked "Brevetto Longhi S.A. Fiamme Milano", the rim is pinned at the joint. The rear rim is a replacement araya. The bottom bracket is campy NR with 151 BCD Campy Pista cranks and a [gasp], shimano ring. The saddle looks to be a cheap 70's quilted saddle marked "Schwinn" in large letters across both sides. Straight seatpost with clamp.

Now for the questions.

What was a stock build for this year?

Did they come with brake holes drilled front and rear?

The FB hubs seem older than the build. Would these have been Schwinn Approved campy hubs or something else?

Should this be a Cinelli Bar/Stem combo, or something else?

I'd like to get this back into shape, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
