I recently set up a 1969 De Rosa with a 13-31 f'wheel and 42-52 cranks- all NR and Regina. I was quite surprised that it works fine. Naturally, I had to remove the dropout screws and move the wheels all the way back. Does this mean that Super Record can work with a 33 tooth cog? No problem, it was rated 13-26T. Depending of chainstay length and dropouts, they will usually handle up to a 28T freewheel and one CR member has a 30T freewheel on his classic 1960s Cinelli.
