To me that bike is in exactly the type of condition I look for. Just far gone enough that you can make a project out of it, but needing absolutey NO re-finishing of any kind.
A complete mechanical overhaul, thorough cleaning, and some fresh "wear" parts is all I would do to that bike to make it a great looking rider.
Hopefully that funky green lug lining will come off though, as I can't believe that is original? I think I might change the brakes over to Universal 61's as well. Or at least change that rear hanger to the Universal type as the one on there really blocks the look of the fastback stays.
With that said I already threw a rather large bid on it without hitting the reserve, so it's probably still out of my price range. But I'll see what I can unload this week and try again in the end. I would really like to have that one!
