I have a 1968 Frejus with this stem and the original bars. They merely have 3ttt and below that Grand Prix stamped on the bar. No logos or ornamentation.

Hi Hilary, and listers

I have a 3ttt Grand Prix stem I intend to use on a 1968 based road bike, this is the type with a allen key expander.. but nutted clamp bolt......my question is, what would the appropiate bars be for such a stem?

I've tried looking on 'velobase' but can't fathom which of the various 'logo's' is the 'correct' one.

It's not easy to describe the different styles here....but would I be correct in thinking the simple 3 ttt stamping would be the earliest [this is a 3 with ttt inside a oblong box]

Or would it be the ones with a '3 along with the olympic rings'.......like the ones you Hilary had for sale recently?

I'm assuming the ones with a 'crest type logo' simular to early Cinelli's would be from the 70s or 80s?

I have pics of what I'm trying to describe if anyone can offer advice.

Also I'm looking for some brass screws for my Cinelli stem to attach the badge.......what size would these be, and has anyone got some spare...would need 4 as I also intend to attach a Rotrax headbadge by screws rather than rivets.

Hope everyone has/is having a fine festive time.

Cheers
