Or get some rubber grommets 1/4" to 3/8". They fit perfectly and you can get them to stick in the rim. Or get the Wheels aluminum adapters. Or just use Shrader valves and enjoy being able to pump them at the gas station! Another trick, if you are caught without a pump or a presta valve adapter, cut the end off a presta valve cap and screw it on the valve backwards. It works just like a presta valve adapter so you can use the gas station pump, if you have a quarter that is.

At 90 psi, the tube will creep up into any little space ? and POW?.
Years ago I turned down some neoprene plumbing washers to take care of rims hat were sized for Schrader valves. I think they were Wobblers or omething.
Now for the promised little trick. Find some leftover handlebar tape (not loth, the modern foam stuff) or some wet suit closed cell neoprene aterial. Cut yourself a little ?pillow? about ?? wide by 1? long and put t on the valve before you install it in the rim. This little thing will ompress and support the valve.
