Sure it's different.
Pantographed items were commissioned and authorized by the maker. In-the day, no workshop made panto parts without the express agreement & authorization with the bike maker. It would be improper and probably illegal to sell & profit from the use of a brand name without that party's permission. Only in recent times, when vintage buffs provide a market, do opportunists make & sell unauthorized panto components.
Do you imagine that Colnago or DeRosa are delighted at people engraving their brand without their permission or control, even in incorrect fonts, into old parts? They are apparently not ready to go to the trouble to take sanctions against it but I am sure it is mildly annoying at least.
Now we have Pino's three mice on canvas bike bags, a rather mundane product, unlike anything he would have ever produced?
Try to imagine a highly creative and even brilliant painter, passing away and then having his trade mark logo put on a kitschy velvet painting that's being sold on eBay! Its really quite inappropriate and if he were my father, I would not like it being done...

Today I was working on a Chesini for a friend- polishing up a pantographed stem. It got me thinking. Is the fact that these bags exist really that strange? Is there really any issue with their existence? And to answer Marc's question, would Morroni's estate even blink an eye?
