Offered to CR members are some beautiful, interesting and uncommon frames. I will be doing a rims and bars list tomorrow and there are excellent savings to be made from combining shipping.
I can take payment a number of ways - Paypal or cheque in GBP, cash sent registered post, Traveller’s cheques in $, direct bank transfer within the UK or European Iban bank transfer. I will always combine shipping in order to reduce costs.
Frames cost 80 GBP to ship to the USA, 100 GBP to ship to Australia/New Zealand and 11 GBP within the UK.
With the pound being still quite low in value these are a real bargain... for US and European buyers. Paypal is quoting 1.65$ to 1 GBP.

POGLIAGHI ROAD FRAME 1969/70
Seat Tube (ctc): 58cm
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Seatpost size: 26.6mm
Frame number: 9161
This is a rather nice quite early Pogliaghi road frame in its original
paint dating from 1969/70 judging by the frame number and Columbus foil
decal. There are no dents or other damage I can see though the seat
tube decals have all vanished and both down-tube decals are quite
damaged. 595 GBP or near offer

CINELLI CORSA ROAD FRAME 1961
Seat Tube (ctc): 54cm
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Brake drop at front with 700C/Sprint wheel: 50mm
Seatpost size 26.2mm
This Cinelli Corsa (Model B) frame has had one owner since it was bought
new in Singapore in October 1961 - the original receipt will be included
with the frame and is pictured. It has fairly recently been repainted
to a reasonable standard. Seeing as Reynolds 531 decal was then applied
I suspect this to have been one of the Cinellis built with at least
Reynolds main tubes. Its in very sound condition but the seat bolt is
not original. It comes complete with headset and BB as pictured. A
bargain at 395 GBP

EDDY MERCKX ARCOBALENO GAN TEAM FRAME 1996
Seat Tube (ctc): 57cm
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame Tubing: Columbus Neuron Special
Frame number: G3418
This is a genuine ex GAN team frame which belonged to Emmanual Hubert
and was it is thought built for him for the 1996 season. Its built from
a special set of Columbus tubing which appears to be MXL seat tube, down
tube and chainstays combined with a Neiron 1 1/8in top tube. Its in
excellent condition with only a few marks to the paint, nothing at all
serious. There are no dents or dings. Its rare to find genuine ex-Team
frames in as good a condition as this one. It comes complete with
Stronglight headset and TA titanium bottom bracket. 375 GBP

EDDY MERCKX Early and rare! 1979
Seat Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Frame Tubing: Columbus SL
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is one of the very first Eddy Merckx frames to come from Merckx’s
own factory – it may indeed be early enough to have been built by De
Rosa. The slotted bottom bracket and pressed lugs - especially the seat
lug are all indicators of it being very early as are the Eddy Merckx
signature seatstay caps and fork crown which has Eddy engraved on one
side and Merckx on the other side. It has no number other than a 7 which
indicate that it is a 57cm centre to top frame. But it is identical to
another Merckx frame I have details of whose number was in the 700s...
This frame has been repainted at the Merckx factory reasonably recently
but has a number of mostly small marks. Early Merckx frames such as this
are exceptionally rare and have a special charm that the later ones with
all cast lugs and brackets simply do not have... 345 GBP

JACK TAYLOR BAMBINO 1962
This is really a rather nice Jack Taylor Bambino bike - it appears to be
complete except for the guards. The frame is very good - neither
seatpost or handlebar stem are seized. The wheels are a bit rusty and
need new tyres but the correct 12 x 2 1/2in tyres are still available.
It needs a very good clean and service... 165 GBP

FREDDIE GRUBB TRACK FRAME 1970s 59cm
Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22.25in (56.5cm)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 57mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is thought to be a Freddie Grubb built track frame - it certainly
looks corect and is built with Nervex Pro lugs and bottom bracket and
obviously Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. Its in very nice condition,
powdercoated red with just one tiny ding on one side of the top tube. It
has had braze-ons added for a rear carrier and hub brakes front and rear
– these could of course be easily removed. 165 GBP

CBT-ITALIA late 1970s
Seat Tube (ctc): 56cm
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 47mm
This frame has the delightful feel of a middle 70s frame and has CBT
engraved bottom head lug, seat lug and fork crown. It has I think been
repainted and been given the decals of a French cycle shop from Pau. It
is in very sound condition with no dents or dings. The chrome on the
forks looks very good though some pitting can be seen on the inside of
the fork blades and there is rust under the crown. Dating this frame is
a bit tricky - it looks really mid 70s but has Campy short dropouts and
is drilled for Allen bolt fixing brakes. 120 GBP

MOORSON DURALITE probably c1950
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
The Moorson Duralite frame design perfectly illustrates the ingenuity of
the British framebuilder in building something that looked different and
appealed to the rider who wanted to stand out from the crowd. The
standard single top and down tubes were each replaced by small twin
tubes each of which ran in one piece from the head tube to the rear fork
ends via the seat lug and bottom bracket respectively. This saved lots
of tube mitreing for the small diameter tubes were simply brazed on to
either side of the head and seat lugs and attached to the bottom bracket
shell by two projecting lugs. The small diameter tubes were each tied
together with two small cross tubes.
The first announcement for the novel design appeared in Cycling in
February 1927 but they were built into the 1950s – it is thought this is
a very late example. There were several unusual aspects to the Moorson –
the frame was built in a jig which helped to ensure far better than
average frame alignment. The frame itself appears to be in excellent
conditioon; it has been quite nicely repainted but has since been badly
stored - there are quite a number of chips and some areas of the paint
are dull but being black it should be reasonably easy to retouch.
Moorsons are really very rare and the price reflects this... 445 GBP

VISCOUNT ROAD FRAME c1974
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Aerospace Cr-Mo
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 27.0
Viscount frames from the 1970s were really quite far ahead of their
times - they were fillet brazed from from good quality cro-mo steel
tubing and were really rather nice. They incorporated advanced features
such as a pressed in cartridge bearing BB. And originally were supplied
with an aluminium fork which occasionally broke - this frame still has
its original aluminium forks. This frame is one of the earlier Viscounts
and is in very nice condition. 65 GBP

HIGGINS c1946
Seat Tube (ctt) : 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 114mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 57mm)
Bottom bracket threads: English
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This is a very nice filet brazed (lugless) road frame from the early
post-war years. Higgins was a master of fillet brazing - he was best
known for his trikes and to a lesser extent tandems... most of which
were fillet brazed. 95 GBP

SUN MANXMAN c 1936
Seat Tube (ctt) : 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 118mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 57mm)
Bottom bracket threads: English
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
Sun introduced their Manxman model with the chainstay struts in 1935;
this is thought to be one of the early models and is I think intended
for use with a Cyclo Standard gear. Its basically quite sound but
obviously needs painting. It will be a great winter project with nothing
too difficult to find. I will include the headclip and headset races.

HOBBS SUPERBE 1947 Fancy lugs
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Almost certainly Reynolds 531 DB
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
Hobbs were probably the first British manufacturer to adopt fancy lugs
in 1936 and the design they used then continued to be used until the
early 1950s as seen here on this 1947 example. This frame is in very
sound condition with no dents or dings and will look truly superb once
renovated. 149 GBP
