Subject: [CR] Gillott For Sale

Offered here first, my 1946 Gillott, built with taper tube set. Frame measu res 25" c-c. The bike has been repainted, perhaps many times (as was the custom in UK to repaint just about every year as general maintenance) and is a correct period color done by Argos. All components are period c orrect, and come with a very rare lugged stem by Gillott which matches the lug pattern of the frame. There is no serial number on this frame. This bike , along with a Bates Cantiflex, was purchased from Hilary Stone who receive d them from their original owner.I had the incorrect block downtube decal  replaced with the correct script decal.  I've ridden this bike spari ngly over the years of my ownership, mainly "coffee shop rides" and this bi ke never fails to attract attention, even among the carbon fiber crowd. I'm selling this bike in keeping with my "one bike coming in, therefore one bi ke must go out" policy. (Coming in is a way off topic CF/Ti creation). I'm offering this bike at $1,200 plus actual shipping via FedEx.  Paypal acc epted. http://theracingbicycle.com/Gillott_1946.html  (BTW,the photos show the TdF derailleur set up incorrectly)

I will sell to U.S. only, as international shipping of larger frames has been a real PITA for me. Meeting the strict shipping container size res trictions has been the problem, thus my US only sales requirement.
