I have to agree with Brian here as I have had that experience first hand. Another tip, with small parts, make sure you have a log or document what you are giving them and what you expect to receive back. Small parts get lost easily and if you just hand over a handful of nuts and bolts that are important to you, you might get back less than you started with.
Another tip, make sure you want chrome plating, many small older parts were Cad, Nickel or Tin plated. They all look very different if you are doing a concourse restoration.
