On the Letendre/Peugeot front, it's all suddenly more complication than it' s worth, so I'll keep the bike and the documentation hidden away, continue to build on the latter, and just enjoy the gear myself.

One can always query a bike's authenticity or provenance, the older the bik e is, the easier it becomes. So rather than start showing some other stuff I have, I've wiped the partspeekers site and will spend more time on the bi ke, and working on and enjoying the gear.

Matteo's finds are incredible, were it that I would walk into a gas station and come out with three bikes the maker of which was still alive to authen ticate them beyond doubt. Still, will there be somebody out there to start a pissing competition and query them ? Hope not, because Matteo will make t hem look very silly.

Beautiful sunny morning here, temperatures expected about 16° C, so proba bly a good half century bash through the hills on a pristine SDC handbuild Pink Mercier, and who cares which pro's bike it was ?

Best to all, you can always reach me at nicbordeaux@yahoo.fr, and I'll read the archives from time to time.
