I received a set of Nuovo Record brake levers and the barrel that holds the cable end, which campagnolo refers to as the "cable nipple holder/part no. 2035", is on the verge of falling out.
Normally I would look for a new lever, but these are Colnago Panto so I would like to keep them. Are these parts easily replaced? I seem to remember the ebay seller "vintage-bike" selling them some time ago. However, I'm a bit confused as to how to install them. Does it require bending the sides of the lever out and then bending back? This seems a bit risky.
Any help or advice on how to do this as well, as a source for said part, would be greatly appreciated.
As always, thank you in advance for your help.
