Subject: [CR] Help me for an old Italian frame with Cinelli BB

Dear all,

I am writing to you from Italy, my name is Vittorio Parabita. I have purchased a frame and I need your extensive knowledge to try to understand what kind of frame is that: it looks to me a very strange frame indeed. The seller told me that it belonged to a team of racers in Bergamo (North of Italy) who used some of them to train during winter with the fixwheel, for 2000 km, before starting the race season. But I do not know anything more, still to me it looks very artigianal and very pretty. It has a Cinelli BB, but I do not see any sign on the drop outs, not Campagnolo marks, nothing at all anywhere. It has pista attacks, on the fork a hole for a very short brake, no drill for the rear brake; but it has two holes on the tube for the bottle. The seat post is 26.2. What do you think about it? Is it a nice frame? Can you help me to define its period, builder, type of bike...etc? I have collected all the parts of a Cinelli super corsa pista because I did not know how to dress it up ( stem, handlebar, Campagnolo pista pedals, headset, crank, rare high flange flip flop hubs, seat post...) but I do not want to "cheat", what kind of decals should I put (If you think I can put any) ? Is it in Columbus tubing? SL, SLX...? Pls help this poor fellow in "troubles". I thank you very much in advance. Cheers to all. Vittorio Parabita.
