The Ideale Brian spoke of is indeed a traditional leather saddle with Ti ra ils, like a current Brooks Ti saddle. Another CR member sent me photos of such a saddle, and it appears to have a Ti frame of exactly the same design as on a steel Ideale, except for the material of course. If Brian's Ti Id eale was original on his 1977 Strawberry, then these Ti railed Ideales seem not only to be solidly On Topic, with no need for a KOF ruling, but also a t least a couple of decades earlier than the Ti Brooks. I don't remember a ny Ti railed Brooks before the Swift, which I think is still less than 10 y ears old. Anyone else know of a Ti railed Brooks older than the Swift? An yone else have a Ti railed leather Ideale, or have any additional informati on about them? Years of manufacture perhaps?
