Subject: [CR] Wanted to buy: Motobecane Team Champion - 55cm frame

Hi All,

I first started competitve cycling back in 1975, when?I bought new a Motobecane Team Champion. It had full Reynolds 531 DB tubing throughout, full Campy NR, and Cinelli bar, stem, seat plus a matching Silca frame pump with Campy head. Unfortunately,?I had to sell the bike to finish paying for college (I still wonder if?I got the better end of the deal on that....)

I drifted away from cycling for a few years, and now that I am back in it again I am looking for that bike, in Team Bic racing orange, just like the original.?I am 5'11", about 200 lbs (and dropping) and?I think?I fit a 55cm bike in standard geometry of that type. If I?can't find the entire bike in good condition,?I will also consider the frame and build it up from there with Campy NR parts?I have access to.

Other TDF team bikes from that era also interest me, especially Masi, Colnago, and De Rosa. I live and ride in Ft Lauderdale, and also ride with friends back in Orange County, CA from time to time.?I currently ride a Davidson Impulse, a nice comfortable lugged steel frame, but it doesn't have the pickup and climbing ability?I remember that Motobecane having. Any help woud be greatly appreciated. thank you,

Best regards,
