I pressed my 1972 Campagnolo bar end controls into service with my 1974 Holdsworth Mistral restoration. I have to say after using them for a couple of weeks that I had forgotten how poorly they work. I even change d the rear derailleur to a Suntour with some improvement. I will either change over to down tube shifters, or migrate over to Suntour or Simplex bar end controls. Don't pay too much for these, unless you have to have them for a period correct restoration.
