As some of you know, I am the lucky owner of two ex-pro bikes, a probably 1986 Splendor-Hitachi and a 1989 ADR-Bottecchia (fully Mavic equipped). Most of you will remember that Splendor-Hitachi was the team of Claude Criquelion and ADR-Bottecchia was the team that Greg Lemond won the TdF with, in 1989. I am now (at last!) ready to build up/finish both bikes (there was some work to be done), and since they both fit me, I am looking forward to riding them. Once spring sets in!
I've googled till my head was aching, but couldn't really find good pictures of both team bikes. This could help in the finish of course, and would also motivate me no end.
So, if anyone has pictures of the Splendor-Hitachi teambikes, and or the ADR-Bottecchia bikes and could scan and mail them to me, I'd be very very happy. These could be magazine pcitures or from a book, in a race or posing for PR.
