Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! (and this being New York City...Every thing In Between!):The BVVW group (a tangent of Gruppo Sportivo Pergolizzi)
is comprised of a rag-tag gang of hardcore certified velo-freaks, who ha ngout (drink beer), talk bike stuff (eat Pizza) and ride together (drink coffe) every now and again. And with spring upon us, it's time we get th e wheels spinnin'! I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AN UPCOMING BVVW GATHERING!WHE N:THIS Thursday, April 2nd, 2009Meet at 6:30PMFor the very first time , I will be opening the doors to my relatively new "bike cave", a dedic ated workspace I now occupy in an artist's loft building in beautiful Bushw ick, Brooklyn. It has been called "the man space", "Devotion's magical
closet" and "The Church of Bike" by those closest to me. Basically, it' s a 250 square foot room that is lined wall-to-wall and ceiling to floor wi th all of my vintage bike junk. Please come check it out...It just might b ecome the BVVW East Coast Club House! (Pending approval from the Omnipotent
Despot).WHAT:An "open house"/"show and tell". The meeting topic this mont h is "The First". Come prepared to tell us about the first "real bike", the first race you entered, the first frame you built. I'll have my rece ntly completed first frameset on hand to share with The Gang. All built up
and ready to go! Jamie Swan had a great idea and suggested that a BVVW gatheri ng at the local track might be great opportunity for us to gather for a rid e. People with or without track experience should feel welcome, just com e prepared with a fixed-gear bike! We'll likely discuss the history of the
Kissena Velodrome (in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens) as well as basic ri ding tips, track safety and etiquette. It's about time we let the old tr ack iron stretch it's legs where it really ought to!Never could get around to planning this last fall, so let's shoot for this spring.Stay tuned...H ope to see you Thursday!Matthew BowneL\u2019Assistente al Despota OnnipotenteD evotion_finesse@hotmail.com(347) 414-0067Brooklyn, New York
