I agree that it doesn't look like a Viner as I too recall a larger cut-out. And while I don't know about earlier versions, current?Viners are British thread BB. I know it doesn't make sense for an Italian bike but they are.?(I currently have three and have had three others in the past 5 years).

I doesn't look like any Viner I ve seen. I sold Viners for a number of yea rs in the early 80 and they all had star cut outs and never had crome (anyw here). The top of the fork crown had a star cut out too. Fork and BB woul d be Italian thread. The lugs on this bike also appear to be too long. I w ould say this frame is something else.........
