Subject: [CR] WTB: early Record Front Derailler

So - I bought an 'early' front Campy derailler, and now realize that it won't work on my bike - I could make it work, but I'm looking to buy the "correct-enough" stuff to get this thing on the road - preferably this year...

I have a gran sport derailler I could use, and maybe I will, but what I want is to have two stop settings one for the inner ring and one for the outer, and to be able to adjust them easily, which the higher-end derailler of the day (1960) gives - soo...that said, what I am looking for is the version of the Record Front Derailler that has the cable-stop fitting in the body. The later versions had the bare cable running under the BB to the bolt on the arm of the derailler - but this version has the cable housing running right up to the body, and then the bare cable to the bolt, just the same as on my Gran Sport Derailler, but, it looks and functions like the next generation Nuovo Record front derailler.

Does that all make sense? Anyway - if so, if someone has one (or even just the body of one, or a damaged one would be fine, since I can swap the parts off what I have... I'd appreciate the help...

FYI - I posted the other day looking for a source for the flanged nylon bearings for the Universal 61 Brake Levers - found out two things - with a slight amount of modification to the hole size on the lever arm, you can use flanged nylon bearings yuo can find at your local hardward store (drilling and sanding involved) and that since the internal finish inside the lever body is so bad, in my case, the factory hadn't finished off the inside holes after drilling them, so the alluminum shards had torn the original bearings apart. Now - all said and done, they function tight and clean and should be much better and less sloppy feeling to ride on. Thanks to all that replied...
