(sorry for the re-post I forgot to include the proper subject line)
I bought this as a complete bike off French ebay with a very cheap buy-it now because it looked interesting and I had not had my morning coffee yet. I assumed it was a 60's Italian frame that was updated with all the braze-on's at some point? But maybe it's an early 70's bike and the B/O's are original? I would really like to figure out what/who the marque or builder it is, as it seems worthy of a restoration (although maybe I'm being too optomistic?).
Details:
"RE" stamped in the side of the seat-collar. "4" stamped on the bottom of the BB shell. "XX" scribed inside the BB shell. Same "XX" scribed and "4" stamped on steerer.
Head-tube drilled for a headbadge with 2 horizontal holes.
Wooden dowel in steerer.
Drain plug on BB shell.
Italian threaded steerer and BB. 26.4 seat-post.
Weight with NR headset is 6lbs. 6oz.
Campagnolo Drop-outs front and back.
120mm rear spacing. 100cm wheelbase, 42cm chain-stay. 54c-t x 54 c-c
Chrome showing on D/O's and on head-tube. I can't find traces of any paint different then what's on it. The inside of the BB shell and steerer are both showing the blue that's on the outside.
