Hi Marcus, I wouldn't assume he was anti-Masi. Being in Michigan, Assenmacher may have simply been his LBS when he bought the bike. Perhaps he's not a bike aficionado, but rather just a well-to-do guy who appreciates quality, and Matt sold him on a custom frame.
