CYCLING IS MY LIFE Tom Simpson Offered for sale is a 1st edition of Cycling is my Life, the autobiography of Tom Simpson. It was published in 1966 just after he won the World Professional Road Race Championship. Tom Simpson had an outstanding career as a professional cyclist on the continent before dying in the 1967 Tour de France on the slopes of Mont Ventoux. 180pp with a good selection of photographs. Missing its dustjacket. 20 GBP

STURMEY ARCHER CATALOGUE AND MANUAL 1939 Offered for sale is a clean 1938/9 Sturmey Archer catalogue and manual. The cover is a little grubby. It covers the TF, TC, AM, AW, AT, AR, AB gears as well as the hub brakes. This is essential material for any Sturmey enthusiast, 54pp. A great reference with full details on all the hubs, exploded diagrams, parts and instructions. 15 GBP

WILLIAMS EDDYWILLY CHAINWHEEL CARTOON BOOKLET Offered for sale is an excellent copy of the Williams Professor Eddywill alternative applications of Williams chainwheels booklet. This particular booklet has reprinted the cartoons that originally appeared as Williams chainwheel adverts in Cycling magazine in the 1940s and 50s. THE STORY OF THE RALEIGH CYCLE Rare Offered for sale is an excellent copy of the rare 1975 published hardback book The Story of the Raleigh Bicycle by Gregory Houston Bowden, great grandson of Raleigh\u2019s founder Frank Bowden. This well illustrated 216pp book covers the entire history of Raleigh cycles up until the 1970s including its subsidaries in the USA, South Africa etc. It is a reliable history in the most part and chronicles the Raleigh story well up to the 1970s. It has some fascinating early history on the Ti-Raleigh team. 30 GBP

EVERY CYCLIST\u2019S HANDBOOK 1936 Wonderful Offered for sale is Every Cyclist\u2019s Handbook by F J Camm 200pp 1936 Wonderfully illustrated with lots of line drawings of all the top kit of the time and lots of very useful instructions on how to set up the gears etc of the time. THE INGENIOUS MR PEDERSEN Dursley Pedersen history Offered for sale is an excellent copy of the Ingenious Mr Pedersen by David Evans. This book is the standard reference work on Dursley Pedersen bikes and is now much in demand and quite rare. It is 144 pages long. 20 GBP

MOULTON BICYCLE Tony Hadland Offered for sale is an excellent copy of the Moulton Bicycle by Tony Hadland published in 1981 which tells the story of the F frame Moultons. 156 pages. Paperback. Really rather rare. 25 GBP

LET\u2019S GO CYCLING Reg Shaw 1950 Offered for sale is a scruffy ex library copy of Let\u2019s Go Cycling by Reg Shaw and published in 1950. Reg Shaw was at that time secretary of the Cyclists Touring Club and was very influential in touring circles. This book gives a very good idea of what cycle touring was about in the 1950s and gives a good introduction to the kit. It also has some nice period adverts. 227 p plus ads. 10 GBP

REG HARRIS BIOGRAPHY RARE Offered for sale is REG HARRIS by George Pearson. 88pp 1950. An early biography of Reg Harris detailing Reg\u2019s early career plus info on his bikes etc. A rare little book. Softback. 14 GBP

TONY OLIVER TOURING BIKES Frame design building Offered for sale is an excellent copy of Touring Bikes by Tony Oliver and published in 1990. The title of this book is rather misleading for it is really a primer on bicycle frame design and building as well as the speccing of touring bikes and tandems. It contains detailed specs of all the frame tubing available in the late 1980s. It is 176 pages long. It is a truly great resource on lugged steel and fillet braze bicycle framebuilding. No dustjacket hence 35 GBP

THE DATA BOOK Offered for sale is a well thumbed copy of The Data book, a collection of Daniel Rebour drawings primarily from the post-war years. It is really fascinating. 210 pages Hardback with dustjacket. 35 GBP

100 YEARS OF CYCLING ROAD RECORDS Unused copy Offered for sale is an unused copy of 100 Years of Cycling Road Records by Roy Green. This book has some lovely photos and is well written. It details the story of road place to place records in the UK from 1888. 110 pages. 7 GBP

RIDE AND BE DAMMED British Road Race History 1940s/50s Offered for sale is an unused copy of Ride and Be Dammed by Chas Messenger. This is a history of the League of British Racing Cyclists, the organisation that gave the UK, mass start racing on the road. This book is beautifully illustrated and designed and tells the story of the struggles within the BLRC and struggles that ensued with the National Cyclists Union who opposed racing on the road. It contains acounts of the major events organised by the BLRC in its 16 year existence before merging with the NCU to form the BCF in 1958. It is fascinating read. 150 pages. An absolute must for anyone interested in British cycling in the 40s and 50s. 12 GBP

THE TI-RALEIGH STORY Offered for sale is an excellent unused copy of The Ti-Raleigh Story by Peter Duker and published in 1980. This tells the story specifically of the team\u2019s successes during the 1979 season with top riders such Jan Raas, Gerrie Knetemann and Hennie Kuiper. Excellent photos. 48 pages. 7 GBP
