Subject: [CR] New member (seeks help with 74 Masi GC restoration)

My name is Barry Lee and I have been riding and dreaming about bikes since the 70s. In 1981 I was a freshman in college in Greensboro, NC and fondly remember the time I spent in Toga Bike Shop before it became Cycles de Oro.

While attending the last Cirque in Greensboro in 2007 my love for vintage bikes was rekindled (with a vengeance).

Later I had the good fortune to get to know fellow list member Bob Hovey. Bob helped me realize a decades old dream of acquiring my very own Masi GC. (Thanks again, Bob.)

Then list member Brian Baylis refinished it for me. It's so beautiful I sit in my workshop and stare at it. (Wives just don't understand this so I do it covertly.)

While I have some of the original parts I'm hoping that some of the members might be able to help me work towards completeing the bike and putting it on the road again soon. (Even though it's a work of art, it shouldn't be hanging on the wall.)

I'm looking for the appropriate bottom bracket and crankset (<3>), headset, stem and handlebars, shifters and front derailleur and no doubt something else that's slipped my mind.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
